BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

CARD PRE-AUTHENTICATION / CANCELLATION:

To secure your booking at Barge East, we need to pre-authenticate your card details. For the Barge East Restaurant, this is a pre-authentication of £10pp for a meal booking, or £5pp for a drinks only booking, for the Barge East Gardens, this is a pre-authentication of £5pp.

Don't worry, no money is taken from your bank account and you will only pay for your order on the day. The only time we claim this pre-authenticated deposit is in the event you don't show for your booking on the day, or cancel as per our terms and conditions.

For the Barge East Restaurant a table is deemed to have ‘not showed’ if they are more than 15 minutes late for their reservation and have made no contact. Group bookings for 2 - 7 guests are required to cancel up to 24 hours prior to their booking, groups of 8 - 12 guests are required to cancel up to 72 hours prior to their booking. Large party groups are required to cancel up to a week in advance of their booking. Private hires deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of the booking.

Bookings for the Barge East Gardens a table is deemed to have ‘not showed’ if they are more than 15 minutes late for their reservation and have made no contact. Bookings are required to cancel up to 72 hours prior to their booking. Large party bookings of 10+ are required to give 7 days notice. Private hires deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of the booking.

CHANGES TO EXISTING BOOKINGS:

If you need to make any changes to a booking, please let us know as soon as possible - we will do our best to accommodate all requests.

TABLE ALLOCATION:

In the Barge East Restaurant, you may be assigned to a high table with stools, please submit a special request if you wish to be seated at a lower table. Guests can specifically request indoor and outdoor seating when making a booking online. Our outdoor tables are covered with heaters, however in the event of bad weather, we will do our best to move you under cover. Unless an area is specifically requested, we will allocate you a suitable table. Captain's Cabin requests can be made additionally. Barge East Gardens bookings will also be allocated a suitable table, unless a table for a booth, the terrace or gardens is specifically requested. The riverside rooftop is only available for private hire.

TIME ALLOCATED TO TABLES:

The time allocated will be confirmed in email. Tables are reserved for a set period of time unless otherwise advised. We operate a seating policy based on the number of covers the kitchen are able to serve every half hour. Your booking starts at the time of your reservation, to enable us to provide the best possible service, please arrange for your party to arrive for the time booked, as we may have bookings on your table after yours and require the table back. Tables will be held for a maximum 15 minutes after which point the booking will be cancelled and the table released, as per our cancellation terms. Bookings for the Barge East Restaurant as standard for 2 hours 30 minutes, drinks only bookings are for 1 hour 30 minutes. Bookings for the Barge East Gardens are for 2 hours to 2 hours 30 dependant on your groups size, bookings are for 3 hours maximum in our gardens if there is availability to extend your table. To keep bookings fair and ensure that everyone has a chance to join us, you cannot make more than one 3 hour maximum booking for the Barge East Gardens.

PREORDERING:

Groups of 8 plus will need to pre-order, 7 days prior to their booking. This is mandatory as our barge hosts a small kitchen and it helps our chefs prep in advance, while offering you the best possible service. A member of our bookings team will be in touch to help you through the process. Please note, we only require a pre-order for groups of over 8 adult guests, if your group is also made up of children, we do not require a pre-order. Please let our bookings team know if you have children in the group. For the Barge East Gardens, there is no pre-ordering required unless you have made a private hire booking. Guests will receive a postcard upon arrival to scan a QR Code, you can then place an order online for food and/or drinks, which will be delivered directly to your table or table service is available.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:

The Barge East Restaurant is able to cater for a variety of dietary requirements. The Barge East Gardens is more limited in the dietary requirements we can cater for due to being an open air kitchen. Please state any dietary requirements in the notes section when making a booking so that our chefs can be noted at the time of your booking.

MENUS & PRICING:

Our menus, specials and pricing across the restaurant and gardens are subject to change. We use the finest British produce readily available on the market, while handpicking homegrown ingredients from our on-site gardens.

RESTAURANT BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH:

Bottomless brunch is available in the Barge East Restaurant during Saturday lunch service between 12pm and 2:50pm. Each guest must take up the offer for bottomless to be redeemable, this includes 90 minutes of bottomless bubbly and/or Bloody Mary’s, only redeemable with all guests ordering from the set Saturday 2/3 course lunch menu.

GARDENS BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH:

Bottomless brunch is available in the Barge East Gardens every Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 1:30pm. All guests in attendance will need to take part and order a main course to redeem bottomless bubbles or beer for 90 minutes! It does not apply during West Ham home fixtures.

WEATHER & YOUR BOOKING:

As an outdoor venue we can be affected by severe weather, our Gardens, Terrace, Booth & Riverside Rooftop have weather protection, including indoor space within our Greenhouse. We can accommodate guests in almost all weather conditions, however if Barge East needs to cancel your booking we will offer a full refund and/or re-schedule at our discretion.
