    About Us:

    Barge East Gardens is a unique outdoor dining venue located in the heart of Hackney Wick, offering sustainable street food to our guests. As part of our preparations for another busy summer, we are seeking a talented and experienced Street Food Chefs to join our Street Kitchen operations during the summer season.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Manage the day-to-day operations of the street kitchen, ensuring efficient service delivery.

    - Collaborate with the management team to achieve and maintain target Gross Profit (GP) margins.

    - Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive, productive and fun work environment.

    - Uphold high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation, in accordance with company guidelines.

    - Monitor and manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.

    - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards at all times.

    Requirements:

    - Previous experience as a Chef, preferably in a high-volume street food environment.

    - Strong team skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and colleagues.

    - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

    - Ability to maintain a positive demeanour in a fast-paced environment.

    - Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

    - Passion for sustainable food and beverage practices.

    - Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

    - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required, street kitchen closes at 9.30pm
